Here are the minimum legal requirements for Coastal License training
(6 miles from shelter, i.e. 11.112 km, as 1 mile = 1,852 meters):
> 5 hours of in-class theory (maritime code)
> 1 ½ hour on safety and description of the boat
> 2 hours of navigation

– Theoretical exam:
Registration for the exam as a free candidate in the approved center of your choice, duration approximately 45 minutes.
Examination in the form of MCQ (Multiple Choice Questionnaire) of 40 questions; 5 fouls admitted. To be able to be registered for your examination, your complete file must have been submitted to us and validated by maritime affairs.

– Navigation exam:
The practical test for the coastal license is applied at Furious Nautisme’s: training is evaluated through continuous assessment, then validated by your instructor.
The license is then issued by your boating school after validation of the theoretical examination (by Maritime Affairs) and the practical exam (at Furious Nautisme’s).
